As part of the Danc’IN Diversity campaign, the S’LAB joined forces with a team of eight Diversity Friends – including three students – to support the second edition of the Welcome Sprint at HEC Liège.
Our mission was clear:
to contribute to a more inclusive start of the academic year
by being present in the corridors, lecture halls, and gathering spaces, ready to listen, inform,
and provide support when needed.
This year, more than 500 new students took part in the Welcome Sprint.
While only a few interventions were directly linked to diversity and inclusion, the presence of the Diversity Friends team offered reassurance, visibility, and a strong message of solidarity. Wearing easily identifiable t-shirts, we also served as a reminder that diversity and inclusion are not abstract values, but everyday practices.
